A relaxed holiday in Saxon Switzerland despite Corona.

On 14 July 2020, the Cabinet agreed on a new Saxon Corona Protection Ordinance, which will apply from 18 July 2020 to 31 August 2020.

Thus, the essential principles for the prevention of infections with the corona virus continue to apply. These include, among other things, a basic distance requirement of 1.50 metres and the obligation to wear a mouth and nose cover in public transport (trains, buses, trains, ferries, etc.) and when shopping.

However, this new regulation also contains some relaxations. Not only family celebrations with up to 100 people are allowed, but also company and club celebrations with up to 50 people. Furthermore, with appropriate hygiene concepts, fun fairs and public festivals with a maximum of 1,000 visitors are also permitted. Furthermore, with approved hygiene concepts, open-air pools, indoor pools, thermal baths and saunas are also allowed to open, but also theatres, cinemas, concert venues and circuses. When visiting one of these facilities, please inform yourself in advance about the corresponding hygiene regulations.
